Even though technically the convention does not start until tomorrow it is great to get here a day early so we can settle in, get the lay of the land and rest up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even still we had a ton of fun today, road tripping with friends is always a blast, we stopped at this marketplace before we hit the hotel to pick up some amazing hand pies that are made by this place called Panbury&#8217;s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Checkin was a breeze, tomorrow it will be so much busier I&#8217;m glad we already arrived and got settled in. We walked around seeing the host hotels starting to set up. I love how much the hotels get into the Convention. We even got to try the new Dragon Con Mead called Dragon&#8217;s Nectar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now that we are here the excitement for the weekend is building, even more, we already have our costumes planned for tomorrow as well as a schedule of what panels we want to attend, but most importantly we will be picking up our badges for the weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once we made it back to our room we spent the rest of the evening playing a little Dungeons and Dragons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By the way, if the hotel looks familiar there have been quite a few things filmed here including the new Loki series on Disney plus.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today was spent driving 6 hours to Atlanta, Georgia.
