Today was a good day, it was a very busy day at work as well as productive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What made me happy today is that for the first time I had to put together a PowerPoint presentation that I had to share with senior management as a training session. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Not only did I stay cool and collected during the entire presentation but after the call had ended my boss told me how proud she was of me. She said I presented and spoke well. I had opened up the call for questions when I was done but there were only a couple of questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I had been surprised about the lack of questions and my boss mentioned it was probably due to how thorough my presentation was and my PowerPoint document.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This was a test for me, I do not typically like speaking in front of people, to say I was out of my comfort zone is an understatement. Although I will continue to probably avoid high-profile situations such as this I still feel proud that I held my own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There will always be times in our lives when we will be in a situation that will take us out of our comfort zone. It’s how we persevere through these moments that allow us to not only challenge ourselves but to grow and find strength in ourselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
