Also, we had an opportunity to visit our local zoo which we have not visited in many years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although it was really hot, which is not surprising for Florida in June we still had a good time and enjoyed seeing all of the animals, and were impressed with just how much the Zoo has grown over the years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I remember when I was little and visiting the zoo ad back in those days the zoo was barely a blip on the map, it was tiny and hardly had any animals. They especially did not have as many exotic animals as they have now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It makes me proud that our zoo was even featured on Nat Geo WILD series Secrets of the Zoo.
