Halloween used to be my favorite holiday. I loved going all out with decorations, inside and out, and every year I probably spent more than I should have adding to my collection. But over the past few years, I’ve noticed a shift. I\u2019m not buying as many new decorations, I\u2019m purging the old ones without replacing them, and I\u2019m not putting in the same effort I once did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lowe’s has even been releasing Disney Haunted Mansion decor recently, but aside from a tombstone or two, I haven\u2019t picked up any of the new pieces. This year, I only bought a single picture from Spirit Halloween and a tablecloth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So what\u2019s changed? Am I just not as into Halloween as I used to be, or have my priorities shifted? These days, when I have extra money, I tend to spend it on more practical things rather than on decorations that feel frivolous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maybe it\u2019s time for a change again. To reignite my Halloween spirit, I\u2019ve already started making DIY ghost pillows. Perhaps creating my own decorations is the key to rediscovering the joy Halloween once brought me. After all, if decorating made me happy before, I just need to find a new way to capture that feeling again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maybe the day after Halloween, I should make an effort to start replacing some of the decorations I\u2019ve let go over the years. Perhaps all it will take is finding a few good deals to begin building up my collection again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
