And the current stage of the build is complete, thanks to the molds and my epoxy resin I was able to complete the pieces the needed, and today I finished attaching the rest of the pieces and also the EVA foam that helped me to finish encasing the sections.
I laid everything out in the backyard so I could get a good picture of it. I am really pleased with how it’s turning out and I can’t wait until it’s finished.
My thoughts on spray painting it are out. I assumed that the Plastidip spray would work on the foam as it worked just fine on the EVA foam that I used for my Voltron cosplay but I guess this is a different type of foam and the Plastidip started to eat through it. So glad I only tested it on a small section.
After doing some research I headed to the store to get a quart of latex paint, once that is applied I should be able to use some spray paint to give it that metallic feel.
