Being Creative

Slaying Dragons is Therapeutic

Today was one meeting after another with barely any time for myself, busy workdays like this do not happen often but thankfully it meant I had a very productive day.

So as you can imagine I didn’t have a ton of time to really reflect on anything today. As I am typing this I am on Zoom playing Dungeons and Dragons with my best friends winding down and relaxing.

As of right now I only game once a week but I hope to increase that eventually and even start hosting my own adventures. Even though I have always known about DnD my friends and I did not get into it until about a couple of years ago and thankfully we had a couple of friends who introduced us to it.

Since then I’ve collected about 6 sets of dice (And growing), modular tabletop gaming terrain, and miniatures. I’ve learned how to paint minis and can’t wait to start painting my modular terrain. Not only do I get to feed my imagination but I also get to improve on my artistic skills.

But most importantly is the social interaction and being able to let my imagination run wild and when I’m being an introvert or not feeling well my friends are so awesome and understanding.

I’ve even begun to apply my resin skills to make my own gaming dice. My first set ever created is hot garbage but still totally fun to make.
