I got a pleasant surprise yesterday evening when I received a message from the photographer who volunteered for our Tolkien Photoshoot with a link to all the amazing photos he took while at Dragon Con.

It really made me happy to see all the pictures of the shoot, It’s not often I feel pretty in pictures. I know this is my own flaw, I just feel that with my body type and shape I don’t always feel like I can pull off a glamourous look. Especially a glamourous look that is also comfortable.

I spent many months working on my Lady Galadriel dress and I am super pleased with not only how it turned out but how comfortable the outfit is. My husband insisted I wear makeup which I don’t usually do but I’m glad I did. I also bought some latex elf ears at the convention that Friday which totally completed my ensemble.

I was also so pleased with the turnout we had considering we threw this photoshoot together at the last minute, just a few weeks before Dragon Con. We had so many amazing cosplayers come together to show their love for all things Tolkien.

I’m already planning for another Photoshoot next year.
