Today was our first day back from our anniversary trip and what a wonderful trip it was. The best was not just remembering all the old memories from when we honeymooned at Disney but all the new memories we made on this trip.
One of my favorite memories took place at Epcot. For the 50th anniversary celebrations, Disney has put lights on Space Ship Earth and I had been looking forward to seeing it lit up all day. So after a long day of enjoying each other’s company and experiencing new things we made it back to the front of the park after sunset to wait for the light show to begin.
As we were waiting we noticed a Disney Photographer taking photos of guests in front of the ball. I had a great idea to get in line and get our picture taken as we waited for the ball to light up.
What we did not expect is just as our turn came up and we positioned ourselves for the picture the light show began right at the moment, and that is when the magic happened.
The photographer, knowing what was coming as he has seen the performance too many times to count had us wait for just the right moment when he knew the ball was about to start changing colors. And even though we stood there looking at the ball while others were also waiting to get their picture taken the photographer kept insisting we wait and that it would be worth it.
What we ended up with was a breathtaking photo and even the rest of the folks in line got to take photos with the ball all lit up.
