The next few days will be quite busy as my husband and I will be assembling a gazebo and laying out some pavers in the backyard. We already picked up the pavers a couple of days ago and had to make two trips.
The gazebo which was delivered yesterday also came with some extra work, it was supposed to be delivered into our garage and instead, it was dumped in the middle of our lawn and my husband and I had to unpack it piece by piece.
After dealing with all of that heavy lifting my tennis elbow is irritated and burning. I knew going into this that I could not let my hubby do all of the heavy liftings on his own. Although my arm was already feeling a little better this will probably aggravate it again.
I did look into hiring someone to assemble it but the prices were just too high. I tried asking for help only to be told it should be easy to assemble, and yes it probably will be but a part of me is still fearful that I am going to undo all the progress I’ve made healing my elbows.
I have spent so much time in the last couple of years trying not to overdo it, but in the end, I can’t let myself become inactive, even if my arms were to heal entirely the odds of my reinjuring them are very high. So bring on the ice packs, the pain killers, and the compression support bands.
I also need to make sure that my husband is not hurting himself either. While I need to mindful of my physical limits I need to be mindful of his aswell.
