The Quest to Reach for the Twinkling Stars

Many years ago when visiting one of the Disney parks I have this vague memory of being in line for one of the attractions and seeing some twinkling fiber optic stars with some melodic spacey music in the background, I want to say maybe it was space mountain but as I have not ridden that attraction in many years I have not been able to confirm.

I remember having a sense of peace and joy when I saw the lights, and I vaguely remember the music being very soft and melodic. Even Epcot used to have some similar light effects around space ship earth on the ground but it was only visible late in the day once the sun went down.

Recently we had dinner at the Rainforest Cafe at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and I was able to experience the light effect again as I had always pictured it in my mind. But this one even had a night sky mural included and while the restaurant was a bit noisy my head was already imagining the melodic melodies as I gazed up into the twinkling stars.

After seeing the light effects it made me yearn for what I wanted originally which was to have something like that in my home. Technically I have something very similar that I created for our library but it is not quite the same as what I had originally pictured in my head. Also, I wanted this for the master bathroom to go over the garden tub.

Whenever I think of this effect I think of peace and calm and have always imagined turning the bathroom into a more spa-like atmosphere. With the twinkling star above the tub, I can take a hot relaxing bath with some melodic music playing in the background, I had all but given up on this vision until I saw the twinkling lights at the Rainforest Cafe.

Now my mind is flowing with ideas again on how I can accomplish this. I don’t know if I will ever get it done but I will definitely revisit these ideas and found inspiration. Below is a video I took at the Rainforest cafe and I edited it to include the Happy Bunny Tales Theme that my hubby created for me a couple of years ago. It’s really close to what I had imagined in my head.
