Back in 2018 while I was having my happiness journey I had so many things to be thankful for. One of the things I was very grateful for were my friends. Having true friends means they are there for you even when you don’t ask for help. One such friend is Diane. When we were in the process of trying to get a house that year and making many sacrifices she stepped up and made me feel so special in a big way.
As many of you know I am a huge Voltron fan. So when Lego announced the release of Lego Voltron in the summer of 2018 I was very disappointed because we were saving up for a house and I was pretty scared that by the time I could afford it he would not be available anymore. A few weeks later I received a surprise package in the mail and it turns out a dear friend knowing how much it meant to me had secretly conspired with my husband in order to get one for me. This would account for probably one of the happiest days that year.
Now here we are in 2020 and since 2018 things have been very hectic and busy. Between not having a whole lot of time or a creative space the Lego Voltron sat there unopened. Now that I have caught up with work and many other projects I’m going to sit and focus on something that I know is going to bring me days of happiness as I know this will be a big build.
Always be grateful for the friends that will be there for you. And also make sure that you are always there for them when they need you. Whether they are lifting you out of the darkness or just putting a smile on your face be grateful for them and appreciate them.
