Today was spent driving 6 hours to Atlanta, Georgia. Even though technically the convention does not start until tomorrow it is great to get here a day early so we can settle in, get the lay of the land and rest up.

Even still we had a ton of fun today, road tripping with friends is always a blast, we stopped at this marketplace before we hit the hotel to pick up some amazing hand pies that are made by this place called Panbury’s.

Checkin was a breeze, tomorrow it will be so much busier I’m glad we already arrived and got settled in. We walked around seeing the host hotels starting to set up. I love how much the hotels get into the Convention. We even got to try the new Dragon Con Mead called Dragon’s Nectar.

Now that we are here the excitement for the weekend is building, even more, we already have our costumes planned for tomorrow as well as a schedule of what panels we want to attend, but most importantly we will be picking up our badges for the weekend.

Once we made it back to our room we spent the rest of the evening playing a little Dungeons and Dragons.
