The Quest to Be Happy Because I Was Not Made to Leave the House Today

The original plan for today was to attend a football game, the last game of the regular season. We were going to get there early and wait so we can get a good parking spot, then wait again until the stadium opened, and then wait again for the game to start.

On any given Sunday (See what I did there?) we would not hesitate to go to a game and if today’s game stayed at its original time of 1 pm instead of being moved to 4 then we would have probably attended the game, but 4 pm means we will be committed from 10 am when we leave the house till 9 pm by the time we get home.

After our recent trip where my husband did all of the driving 20+ hours, he woke up this morning, looked at me, and asked if I would be ok if we didn’t go to the stadium and watched the game at home instead. My husband asked me that? The wife does not necessarily like football but goes to the games so I could just spend time with him.

As if I would have an issue with staying in, playing my video game all day, and watching Netflix.

This is why I love him. Assuming this is my husband and he hasn’t been replaced with a pod person.
