Today was fun because we were able to score some antique books that my husband has been wanting ever since we visited an antique book store in Dade City in 2020.

This makes us both very happy because it’s been a while since we added any antique books to our collection and I’m excited because the books we picked up are going to be great reading. My husband and I love history and it’s been a chore finding books about Spain and we now have several books to enjoy.

I think what brings us joy is that not only are the books about history but the books themselves are over 100 years old. To me, there is a sense of awe when I’m holding something that was published in an era that existed before I was even born.

Of course, even though we went to the shop for something specific we walked out of there with a few other things we did not intend on getting.

I think the first step to healing addiction is acknowledging that we have a problem. This is one addiction I do not want to cure.

With that said we should be getting our next hit soon when we attend the Florida Antiquarian Book Fair in April.
