The Quest to Build a Haunted Mansion Dollhouse…Interior walls Are Papered

Although my day was busy today I found some time in the afternoon to work on my Disney Haunted Mansion dollhouse.

I was able to add all the wallpaper and printed wood paneling.

This project idea came to me a long time ago and it’s really cool to see it finally start coming together. I have been collecting dollhouse furniture little by little and some pieces I am making myself from kits I found on Amazon.

The Dollhouse itself was put together using two dollhouse displays I picked up at Michael’s during the holidays. I had to alter the rooftops a bit to make sure the two parts sat flush against each before I glued them together.

I originally started printing out the elements on my color printer at home but the printer was not cooperating or printing things uniformly so I decided to use the self-service option at Office Depot to get everything printed.

I have always found joy in miniature things and scenes, I can’t say why it brings me joy, I think maybe it’s because when I see small scenes or dioramas I think about the quiet countryside or a simple life. It’s really more for the feeling it invokes of coziness and quietude.
