After I reorganized and reestablished my area to be more creative I came to an epiphany. For so long I called my area my workspace, mainly because my area does wear a lot of hats, it’s where I work my day job, it’s where I play my video games, it’s where I also watch TV or search the web, it is also where I do most of art and craft projects.
While my area is a multi-functional space it was mainly designed and organized to be one thing, an Art Studio.
I’m no longer calling it my workspace, from now on regardless of what I’m doing in this space at any given time it is still my Art Studio. My Art Studio doesn’t stop being an Art Studio just because I have to work, or take a break and play my video games, or because I decide to be lazy one day and not make art.
Since I have reorganized and set up my Art Studio I have felt my creativity and Inspiration take flight once again. I have a few works in progress. I also signed up for a few online painting courses that I hope will further provide me with inspiration.
I actually finished the milky way oil painting yesterday and you can see the finished picture below.
