The Quest to Prioritize My Health and Not Treat it Like an As Needed Event

Today I received some great news about my physical health after discovering something last month that was a cause for concern. Even though my doctor still wants to investigate a little further I feel like the overall initial diagnosis which has already been treated was the likely culprit and a huge weight off of my mind.

Staying on top of our health can be difficult at times because we know that we can end up incurring expenses that we may or may not be able to afford. The truth of it is that health care in the US is broken but as broken as it is, I can’t let it keep me from getting the best care I can possibly get.

So many times in the past I had an issue that I did not get taken care of because I didn’t want to incur expenses, but no longer. I have to put myself and my family first despite the costs. Our health will lead to our overall happiness, we just need to learn to budget for it more and not as something like an emergency.

We are not cars after all.
