Today finally starts the long-anticipated four-day weekend, we are starting it with a quiet morning and a date night with dinner and a movie. I’m glad that the weekend is not being spent catching up on chores or running errands.

I tried to start the 3D printer this morning but I felt like I could fiddle with it next week and not worry about it over the weekend. The machine itself is great but the filament I’m using which is a few years old has a tendency to snap which means I have to keep an eye on any print jobs.

Overall I’m filling the weekend with lots of things that make me happy, spending time with my husband, Disney, spending time with friends, Halloween, and even Christmas as I plan on putting out my Christmas decorations the day after Halloween.

As much as I love Halloween I also love Christmas just the same, Just as I put my Halloween décor out early I do the same with Christmas. We still celebrate Thanksgiving but I have never been one to decorate for autumn as that is not something we really experience in Florida. Celebrating Halloween and Christmas is one of the things that bring me the most joy this time of year.

This is why I know this weekend will be so amazing, I will get to celebrate Halloween while celebrating Christmas and all the fun things in between.
