The Quest to Celebrate Our 20th Wedding Anniversary

20 years ago today I married the love of my life and my best friend.

It still seems like only yesterday that we were exchanging our vows at Incarnation Catholic church while Father Hunter presided over the ceremony. We had our wedding reception at the Event Factory because it gave us an opportunity to have a fairytale wedding.

20 years later Jason and I are still living our Happily Ever After.

20 years later Jason and I have become even more inseparable.

20 years later and I’m even more in love with my husband the day we got married.

20 years later and we have both grown into one unit.

I cannot imagine my life without Jason and even though we have had our ups and downs and dealt with challenges over the last 20 years we always came out on top because as a couple we always had love, respect for each other, supported each other and never went to bed angry.

We have so many amazing memories that we made over the years and can’t wait to see what the future will hold for us as we continue on our journey of wedded bliss.

So for us, it seemed appropriate to spend our anniversary at a place that holds so many amazing memories for us. Disney is where we had our honeymoon and where we decided to spend our 20th anniversary.

Jason and I met at college, at first we only hung out as friends but even then we felt very close to each other, it was only a matter of weeks when we took the plunge and started dating, we were at Seaworld when we decided to make it official and we never looked back.

A year later we were engaged, he proposed to me during valentine’s day while having dinner at the Melting Pot, and in less than a year I was married to my best friend. For us, we could not get married fast enough and spend the rest of our lives together.

One summer before we were engaged Jason admitted to me that he was worried that I would one day wake up and not want to be with him. I told him that would never happen and to show my commitment to him we went to Epcot during the Millennium Celebration and contributed to the Leave a Legacy.

That was such a special moment for the both of us because it meant that a permanent structure would always exist providing not only proof that we were here but that our love for each other will always endure.
