Aesthetic: a branch of philosophy dealing with the nature of beauty, art, and taste and with the creation and appreciation of beauty.
Infinite, Ancient, Magnificent. When I think of our universe and it’s infinite space and beauty I can’t help but be in awe of it. The colors, the void and everything in between. While some might think of the universe and feel small and insignificant I stop and think that instead of us being insignificant maybe our problems are.
We are all made of stars, a chance collision that started as a chain reaction and boom, humans, and earth exist. Our problems are only as big as we make them out to be, don’t give them a hold and they will resolve themselves in time.
Galaxies have been my favorite aesthetic for a few years and continue to be strong. Seeing the swirl of gases and space dust brings me calm and joy. The design always attracts my attention no matter if I’m at a book store or just surfing the net. I always stop, look at it and allow the image to register and then I move on. Sometimes the image will remain and other times it won’t. Sometimes the image will inspire me in ways I never thought possible. While most of the images might be digitally created it still has a way to make me feel like I have a place in our great universe. It gives me hope for our future. Science fiction plays such a huge roll in my life which is another reason why this aesthetic is so inspiring.
Lately, it has been inspiring me in my art. I started out watching a few videos on how to work with resin and then moved on to make an art piece that was inspired by the galaxy aesthetic I love so much using a combination of different types of glitter. Even though I went through some trial and error, in the end, I was very pleased with my very first piece which I have called “Spatial Anomaly”. I was somewhat inspired by the Movie interstellar when they reached the wormhole that would take them across the universe.
I already have plans for more pieces all of which are inspired by nature and our infinite universe. I previously talked about finally having space and time to craft and I feel like now I’m able to truly tap into my imagination and pull joy from my mind and make it into reality.
I have created a new Facebook page where I can showcase my new art and I hope you will join me as I go through a new creative journey. Keep an eye out on this site as I may eventually create a small shop where some of my pieces might be up for sale.

Your artwork is amazing! I don’t know how long you’ll be doing resin and glitter paintings but they are definitely cool.
