The Quest to Try to Find a Counterspell for Fatigue and Our Day at Epcot

The COVID fatigue has a way of sneaking up on you, and just when you think it went away and you’re fully recovered from it hits you like a ton of bricks.

We attended Dragon Con at the beginning of September, with no fatigue. We also attended a couple of football games in the past month, with no fatigue. We have been averaging about 6,000 thousand steps every day walking around the neighborhood, with no fatigue.

We arrive at Epcot yesterday and 3 hours later we cancel our dinner reservation and instead of staying late to watch the new Fireworks show and see spaceship Earth all lit up for the 50th Anniversary celebrations we leave to go home early. The weather was hot but not oppressive, it wasn’t even that humid, and yet we were left feeling so drained which for us was not typical.

It made us worry a bit, will this fatigue ever go away or will it stay with us forever and hitting us when we least expect it. While the past month has not been too tiring why is this coming back now?

Aside from the fatigue, we did not let it completely ruin the day. We were able to ride the new Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure that opened yesterday for the first time and we got to enjoy one of our favorite drinks in the French Pavilion. Even though we did not get to experience the night shows there will be plenty of time to see them later as the 50th Anniversary celebrations will be going on for the next year.
