Our castle is over 15 years old now, we got in pre-construction back in 2006 and it is now that time when things that were brand new when we moved in are now requiring maintenance or need to be replaced altogether.

A couple of years ago we had to replace the Central air system and this time around we are replacing the water heater and taking care of a few minor things around the house. We have thankfully been blessed with a roof that has so far shown no signs of needing to be replaced.

I kind of consider some of this part of the Spring cleaning. We are replacing the water heater not because it’s broken but because we replacing it before it does. I don’t want to be that homeowner who has to dish out thousands of dollars because the water heater flooded the garage because we did not take care of it when we should have.

We still have a laundry list of things we need to get done or want to get done with the house but the water heater we felt was the biggest priority.
