Lestat,
It’s hard to believe you’re gone. For 16 and a half wonderful years, you filled our home with your tiny paws and an enormous heart. You weren’t just a pet; you were our baby, a little soul who brought us endless joy, comfort, and laughter.
From the moment I brought you home, you knew how to make us smile. Whether it was the way you pranced around like you owned the place or how you always knew when we needed extra cuddles, you had a special way of making life brighter. You were there for every milestone, every triumph, and every tear.
Even now, I can almost hear your excited tiny claws click clacking on the floor, see your tail wagging furiously, and feel the warmth of your soft fur beneath my hand. The house feels a little emptier without you, but our hearts are still so full, full of memories, full of love.
Losing you has been one of the hardest things we’ve ever faced. The grief comes in waves, sometimes gentle, sometimes overwhelming. But through it all, we remind ourselves of the incredible gift of your companionship. You taught us so much about unconditional love, about living fully in each moment, and about finding joy in the simple things.
To anyone grieving the loss of a pet, know that it’s okay to feel the pain deeply. It’s a testament to the love you shared. Take time to honor their memory, whether it’s through a favorite photo, a special place in your home, or simply sharing their stories.
Lestat, thank you for every moment, every wag, every cuddle. You will always be a part of us, running freely in our hearts. We love you forever.
Until we meet again,
Mom and Dad
Diane
