The Quest to Enjoy the Football Season

Today I’m tired, not because I’m feeling COVID fatigue or because I went beyond my physical limits, I’m tired because we went to the first regular-season football home game for our Super Bowl Champions the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The truth is I’m not into football as much as my husband is, I understand just enough about the game to know what is happening. I go to the games with my hubby because it is his passion and because having me there makes him happy and in turn, it makes me happy because we get to spend quality time together.

And even though we didn’t tailgate this game tailgating is one of my favorite pastimes, I don’t really like camping but tailgating is kind of like camping except you are not sleeping outdoors. There is something about getting to the game several hours early and being able to Barbeque and drink and eat your favorite snacks while listening to music and enjoying the time with other tailgaters. I find it relaxing and highly enjoyable.

I only dislike going to the night games because we get home so late, by the time the game ended and we got home and straight to bed it was 2 am. So I am tired today and I’m grateful for some extra coffee this morning.

And here is a Video my husband uploaded of the Super Bowl celebration that took place prior to the start of the game.
