The Quest to Plan for a Lazy Day

My mind is kind of muddy today, it doesn’t help that the weather is gloomy and it’s been raining off and on which already puts me in a rather relaxed and lazy mindset. Makes me want to put on my fuzzy slippers and socks curl up with a hot cup of tea and burrow under my blanket and either watch TV all day or read.

But being able to have days like that does not happen often and sometimes we wish we could have a day like that but life happens, we have to work, we have prior commitments or we just have a lot of things on our to-do list. Then there’s the guilt, we sometimes feel guilty when taking a lazy day especially knowing we have things to do.

I think I’m going to plan for a lazy day this weekend, maybe on Saturday, I have nowhere I need to be and I could always have my favorite food delivered so I don’t have to cook, I’ll stay cocooned under the blanket while watching TV and playing video games or reading a book.

The thought of planning this out makes me happy, I’m going to pick up the bedroom next couple of days so everything is organized and then decide how to set everything up so the space will be cozy and my items will be within reach. What kind of items do you ask? Well, snacks, of course, are the most important thing. And then of course my laptop to play video games and my kindle in case I feel like reading.
