Is Buyers Remorse A Good Thing or a Bad Thing?

Well, today I felt something I have not experienced in quite a long time. Buyers Remorse. Earlier in the afternoon, I had major anxiety over a large purchase we had made but thankfully it was resolved by realizing that I was still within my window to return the item with no penalties.

I used to be a much more of an impulsive buyer years ago and I find now that I try to put a lot more thought into what I buy. Usually, if I’m on the fence about something I put it back.

I think buyer’s remorse is our mind’s way of telling us, we don’t need this or we should have saved the money. In this case, we thought we had a need but found out that after the purchase maybe not so much. And Yes, I was on the fence about this and I should have listened to my gut and I am grateful that the purchase could be returned.

How can we make more of a conscious decision when making purchases? Happiness means not making ourselves anxious when it could have been avoided.
