The Quest to Understand My Artistic Style

I realized that life has been so busy that I have failed to post any of my Happy Bunny Tale comics here on my blog.

In addition to being busy, I have realized that while I enjoyed making the Happy Bunny Tales comic I’m not sure that is something I want to continue pursuing. I think in the last few years I have really started to learn just exactly what my artistic style is.

There is a reason why I called my Facebook Artistic page “Whatever Floats My Boat”, I do not like to be tied down to any one particular style or technique, I rather enjoy trying different projects and learning new skills and not just constantly churning out the same styled art pieces over and over again. While space and the cosmos do drive most of my art it is not my only inspiration.

While I do love making my galaxy resin art and I plan on continuing with that for a while longer I have also started experimenting with different techniques with resin to keep things fresh. I am also planning on starting to take some courses on oil and acrylic painting as well as watercolor.

This past weekend I even dabbled in painting lamp shades to create some Blue Ridge Mountain-inspired lamps and even added some of my cosmic influence by adding in some constellations poked through the lampshade to give the impression of twinkling stars.
