Being Creative

The Quest to Make My Artistic Plans For the Rest of The Year

Now that Syfy Bartow is finished I want to begin making plans for the rest of the year. I have so many projects I want to work on and while some may have deadlines others do not.

I want to start working regularly on my resin art pieces and not just rush to get a few done right before a show. My husband gave me a few ideas and I’m going to take those ideas and bump them up to the next level so stay tuned for some cool pieces.

I also want to keep working on the Stargate, now that I don’t have a 3D printer I need to outsource the rest of the glyphs which should not take too long. Once I have those elements all that is left is to cut out the plates for each glyph, start attaching all the elements to the ring itself, reinforce the ring interior a little more and create the PVC frame that will hold the gate up, paint and finish it up.

I also have several other craft projects I want to work on throughout the year, I have a Disney Haunted Mansion inspired dollhouse that I hope to have finished before next Halloween, I have a lot of Star Wars greeblies I need to get done before we visit the Star wars Galactic Star Cruiser, I’m also making a Twi’lek Lekku hat so I can be an alien.

I also have a ton of tabletop gaming terrain and miniatures that need to be painted. I want to also start taking up oil painting again and a few other projects that are on my to-do list.

I’m definitely not saying that I need to get all these things done this year but I do want to ensure that I am finding time to fuel my creativity and not fall into the funk of the past couple of years where I spent months not creating anything at all.
