The first few weeks of the year have already been quite eventful! My husband had to take a business trip, and shortly after his return, we welcomed a new fur baby into our lives.

While these early weeks have felt a bit overwhelming, the changes have been positive ones. Adding a new puppy to the household is always an adjustment, but we felt it was the right time to fill the space that Lestat left behind.

Even though I still miss Lestat dearly and think of him often, my heart is full of love for this new chapter. It reminds me of when we first brought Lestat home in 2008, a time when I was so overwhelmed, I even experienced daily panic attacks. Sixteen and a half years later, I’ve gained patience, perspective, and the unwavering support of my family. Now, I’m looking forward to creating new memories with our puppy.
