My husband and I have just come back from our trip to Nashville and as much as I would love to say that the trip was wonderful it wasn’t.
The point of the trip was to go antiquing at the Nashville Flea market. We went prepared with a wish list of things we wanted to find and even though we found most of the items in our list and even got good deals something about the Flea market this year felt off. It could have been the new buildings they moved to or the fact that it was cloudy all day and a bit rainy but it just felt so much smaller than last year and overall disappointing.
The drive up was not the greatest ever as we had white-out rainy conditions for about half of our 10-hour drive and then hit extremely thick fog banks on the drive back home on Monday. We had some issues with the hotel we stayed at and for some reason, I could not get a good night’s sleep every night we were there that just added to my fatigue.
On Sunday we stressed about other things but still went to the football game at Nissan Stadium, by the time the game started my mood and the weather became a lot better but I felt like the trip overall was a bit gloomy and we were both really looking forward to just getting home on Monday.
Even though the trip did not turn out to what we were hoping it would be there was one thing that did bring a ton of joy to our trip and that was the Loveless café. If you are ever in Nashville take some time to go eat at the Loveless you will not be disappointed. They are an amazing restaurant with great southern food and their biscuits are totally addictive, we went to nights in a row to the place it is that good. I only wish they were a chain and opened one up in Florida.
