While I’m letting my back heal and taking it easy I’ve been rewatching one of my favorite anime series Full Metal Alchemist.
When I was young I was a big fan of Sailor Moon, this was before online streaming existed, and finding anime was not easy and in many cases expensive. Back in the late 90s, I was lucky to find any shop that sold anime-related imports.
Now anime-related items are everywhere, finding anime online is as easy as a search on Amazon and most streaming services have most of the popular titles, even Sailor Moon.
My tastes in anime have also changed over the years. One of my favorite animes now is Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood (not to be confused with the original, which was weird).
No more are the days where I used to live for the magical girl anime, now I like darker, grittier anime as well as the artsy anime. One thing that has not changed at all is my love for all Studio Ghibli films.
But for the past week, I’ve been revisiting Full Metal and had time to binge-watch it over the weekend no thanks to a bad back. It was this series that rekindled my love for anime. I started with the original series but once they released Brotherhood and the manga series was completed then my love for this show grew even more.
