We are so close to being done with our new addition to the house and I’m so excited about this.
When both our moms moved in with us we knew we were going to need more space. In 2018 we attempted to purchase a new home but in the end, that was not in the cards for us and it’s one of the only sad things I remember from 2018. It was meant to be as we loved the house we currently lived in. We converted our front living room into an amazing theater, we love the library we put together and the layout of our home is great.
So we decided to go a cheaper route by adding on to the house, and even though it has been a long and at times stressful process it is almost complete. We converted the back porch into a sitting room and our new office space extends towards the back of the house. We are adding almost 400 more square feet of living space.
Currently, we have our computers set up in our bedroom which is not ideal. We see this new space as a way to start fresh and to be creative again. I have not had space to really do my crafts in so long and once I can start crafting again I know it will bring so much joy to my life. Jason found himself an antique desk and I ordered The Original Scrapbox to finally organize my craft supplies. We will be building out some audio booths to provide better sound quality for our audio dramas and we even plan on adding a green screen studio.
This year has been a bit of a transition year, many things put on hold, the house being reorganized, many things purged. I feel like we are getting a fresh start and making the house that we lived in for 13 years new again. Even after the addition is done we will be looking for other ways to revitalize our space.
This will truly be a space to let our creative juices flow and I can’t wait to get started.
